My Opinion

I often say that when it comes to fragrances, what is loved by some is downright hated by others, while you can always find a group who are entirely indifferent to the scent. Having said that, I’m not a fan of floral scents and when it comes to sweet scents I believe it shouldn’t be overpowering.   

All in all, it’s probably best to leave these kinds of scents alone if you’re going to a formal gathering or really want to impress, as the sweetness might just give someone a headache and end up doing more harm than good.

However, assuming I haven’t put you off floral scents for good with my rant, they are an excellent fun option that sets you apart from the crowd.

La Dame is a good option on the whole if you don’t mind its hefty price. But if you are into the niche of sweet florals, there are many better options available out there in a variation of cost and the levels of sweetness.

Though, it is worth considering that this is an authentic creation, unlike being a rip-off basking off the glory of a prior success, which, surprisingly, even many famous high-end brands do. Perhaps that is an indicator of its high price. 

However, if the price is too much for you compared to the scent, you can choose from the other alternatives listed above and pick the one most suited to your personal style.
